Frequently Asked Questions

WHY 6D?

Why 6D Microblading?

6D Microblading is a technique that creates ultra fine hair strokes to mimic the brow's own hair.
After the healing process the crisp lines are visible under the skin. The pigment is placed in the dermal layer of the skin using a hand tool and blade.
This creates brows which appear as natural as possible compared to other permanent / semi permanent makeup. It can even appear more natural than topically applied makeup.

Microblading is done using natural pigment which do fade over time, and the procedure is semi-permanent.

Each client's age, features and preference change over time and when a  touch up is done it also allows an opportunity to alter or adapt the colour or shape.

This technique gives clients a thin and defined hair strokes opposed to the conventional permanent makeup machine which creates a solid and unnatural "draw on" look.

6D Microblading is ideal for:

* Enhancing existing eyebrows by altering the shape, or creating a higher arch and to fill them in,
eliminating the need for topical makeup to be applied daily.

* Correcting the shape, length or height of existing brows according to the facial proportions.

* Creating new eyebrows for cancer patients or client's suffering from alopecia.

* Overplucked or waxed eyebrows are enhanced by filling in the gaps

How Long Is The Microblading Procedure

For the initial appointment, measurement and procedure - allow 2.5 to 3.5 hours
For the Touch-Up Procedure - Allow 1.5 to 2 hours

Investing this time would definitely be worth it as it will enhance you for years to come!

How Long Does The Microblading Procedure Last?

This varies from person to person. Various factors like age, skin type and lifestyle affects the longevity.
A Touch-up is recommended annually but could be necessary sooner or later.

How Is The Brow Shape and Colour Determined

Using each client's facial features and existing brows, the symmetry and position of the brows is determined. The suggested shape is then drawn on the face.

The shape can be altered to the client's preference, and both the technician and the client approves the shape before the procedure.

The brows don't need to be waxed or tweezed prior to the appointment. The hairs outside of the created brow will be removed.
The natural eyebrow hairs within the shape will not be removed.

The colours to best match the client's natural hair colour and skin tone is applied above the eyebrow.
The technician and the client both agree which natural pigment will be used.

Remember that the brows will appear dark and the pigment bright in the first few days, but the pigment will lose up to 30% of it's colour after the healing process and will appear cooler in colour.

What Types of Pigments Are Used

Permanent ink is not used for microblading. Our pigments are highly concentrated. The colour will fade after the healing process, but will not discolour to a blue or green hue.
The pigment is semi-permanent.

How Long Is The Healing Time

The estimate healing time is 4 weeks from the initial procedure.

The brows will appear dark for the first few days after the procedure, thereafter peeling, flaking, fading and loss of pigment can occur during the next 28 days.
All of the above can happen and is normal, equally there may be little or no peeling or scabbing.

This doesn't mean you have to hide from the world! There is no down time, you can still be seen in public!

An ointment is given to each client to use during aftercare.

A touch-up appointment is essential within 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure.
